Their strong sense of melody and lyrical storytelling, metal roots and
international inspirations have led Oblivious Signal to where they are
now: A group on the edge of just about anything.
In 2010 Oblivious Signal announced securing management from the
infamous John Tovar (The Mavericks, Marilyn Manson) putting them on a
track of
playing major events and festivals, radio airplay, and a 2011 South
American tour.
Lead guitarist and founding member Nick Orisino has surrounded himself
with professional musicians to form a kind of super group including
former pop vocalist Cristina T. Feliciano, whose Puerto Rican
herritage allows her to sing in both English and Spanish, opening them
up to broader audiences and increasing numbers of fans worldwide. Completing the line up are drummer Greg Andrews and bassist Rick Cabrera.
Feliciano is an accomplished touring musician, a dynamic vocalist, and
music vlogger, sponsored by high end equipment companies Heil Mics and
Nady Systems.
Notable shows include: Rock the Planet Festival at Revolution Live,
Florida Power Metal Fest, Femme Fest, and Hot Topic In-Store
Performances, a performance all in Spanish at the Bayside Marina Stage
in Miami, and the Atlantic Records Showcase at Miami Music Fest. They
have opened for some of the heaviest names on the scene including
Ekotren, Jump Suit Aparatus’s drummer's side project, The Material,
Hilary McRrae, Circle II Circle and alongside of members of Testament.
While Oblivious Signal's 2008 demo featured Feliciano's metal screams,
the new music is instead a melodic metal. Songs from 2010's Into The
Night still featuring heavy riffs, but the screams have been replaced
with strong edgy vocals and smoky sensuous hooks.
A limited number of copies of the band's full length Into The Night
are still available via iTunes. Oblivious Signal is currently in
studio laying down tracks for their upcoming sophomore album.
Interviews with Orisino and Feliciano can be seen in Guitarist

others.
