A Violent Change Violent Change was filmed over the course of a late summer weekend in downtown Los Angeles, Venice, and Lancaster, CA. It was shot with a Bolex camera on different stocks of 16mm film. A dozen pillow-like fake fish were sculped out of cotton and shiny fabric. Directed by Giles Andrew. Fish live in the ocean, Giles never strays far from them residing in Venice, CA where he shot this true life story. Originally from London, he came to the US via New York and is reluctant to leave.
